CERCA at VICM Grand Opening December 13th, 2025 1-3pm_.png

Join us at the Grand Opening of the Center for Education about Risks both Coastal and Aquatic (CERCA) St Thomas at the Virgin Islands Children's Museum (VICM) on December 13, 2025, from 1pm to 3pm, for an exciting event where you can learn about coastal and aquatic hazards, play games, earn prizes, and meet scientists. This FREE Admission community event is a great opportunity to engage with the community and promote resilience and preparedness in the Virgin Islands.

At the Grand Opening, you will have the chance to interact with experts from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), the National Weather Service (NWS), the Virgin Islands Territorial Emergency Management Agency (VITEMA), the Integrated Ocean Observing System (IOOS), the Caribbean Coastal Ocean Observing System (CARICOOS), Ocean Coastal Observing - Virgin Islands (OCOVI), and the Caribbean Green Technology Center (CGTC).

Don't miss out on CERCA Saturdays on March 14, August 8, September 19, and November 21, 2026, where you can continue to learn and participate in activities that will help you better understand environmental risks and take proactive measures for resilience.

We look forward to welcoming you to the Grand Opening and CERCA Saturdays as we work together to educate and empower our community to be more resilient in the face of coastal and aquatic hazards.
