The Virgin Islands Children’s Museum (VICM) is excited to invite the public to join us for the upcoming Worldwide Day of Play event on September 28th, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM at Buccaneer Mall in St. Thomas, USVI.

 

The Worldwide Day of Play is an annual event that encourages children and families to engage in science, music, cultural demonstrations, and traditional game play. This year's event promises to be a day filled with fun and learning for all ages.

 

We are grateful for the generous support of our sponsors, including Island Designs LLC, RapierMed, Keswick Insurance and Universal Concrete, LLC. And thank you to our Raffle Prize donors to date Gallows Point Resort and Crucian Gold. Their contributions have made it possible for us to offer FREE admission to everyone who wants to PLAY at the VICM on this special day. Sponsorship of this event not only supports a day of play for the community but also helps with the museum's operational costs.

 

In addition to our sponsors, we would like to recognize the community organizations who have joined us in making this event a success. These include the Disability Rights Center of the Virgin Islands, GRROE USVI Mangroves, Virgin Islands Surfing Federation, St. John School of the Arts, Shen Dragon Karate Dojo, Reef Response / University of the Virgin Islands, Virgin Islands Marine Advisory Service (VIMAS) & Virgin Islands Established Program to Stimulate Competitive Research (VI-EPSCoR), MLB School of Dance, Coral Bay Community Council, Virgin Islands Public Library System - DPNR/DLAM, DPNR Division of Fish and Wildlife, The Coziah Dancers, VI Movement Lab, DFG Community Impact Foundation of the VI, and Happy Times Entertainment. This year, the VICM will be selling snacks like hot dogs, popcorn and snow cones. Nikki’s Temporary Tattoo/Henna will also be in attendance and will donate 10% of her sales to the museum. Face painting will be free.

 

The Worldwide Day of Play is part of Nickelodeon’s Our World global initiative, aiming to inspire kids and provide them with tools to activate their individual and collective agency.
